COVID-19 Update

The Academy of the Arts opened for in-class instruction in early September 2020 with a School-Age Childcare Waiver from the LA County Department of Social Services . We have been open for in-person learning continuously since September 2020 and we are committed to doing all that we can to remain open.

Throughout the pandemic, the Academy has carefully observed all LA County School Age Childcare COVID guidelines including limited classes sizes, keeping classes separated as separate cohorts at all times, distancing between staff and students, regular hand washing and face coverings at all times. We believe that the best education for our children can only be provided in-person. Therefore, despite the challenges of the pandemic, we must do everything we can to ensure our children receive only the very best education possible.

As we open registration for the 2021-2022 school year, we hope to start the year in August 2021 with the pandemic behind us and a return back to our regular class sizes (with a max of 18 students per class) and project based, interactive and student led teaching style.

However, in the event that some of the COVID guidelines are in place when we open and we are required to have limited class sizes, we will retroactively accept the students in the order they registered to the school.

If you would like your child to join the Academy for the 2021-2022 school year, we encourage you to register your child as soon as possible to ensure they will be in the class even if we open with limited class size.
